Inklings II

As part of Trinity Fellowship's aim to minister to the whole person, Inklings II is a support group for writers and artists seeking to worship God through the creative arts. The purpose of the group is to provide an opportunity for Christians to share their art with a small, supportive audience and to receive constructive input from the group on those projects. A secondary purpose is also to provide a forum for discussing such matters as might be pertinent to the creation and enjoyment of the arts.

The current incarnation of the group is in two parts. The first part is an online discussion group in which members post their works and other members offer their feedback. This group is located at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/InklingsII. The second part of Inklings is a monthly (roughly) meeting at which members are free to read aloud, perform, display, or in other ways exhibit the works that they have been crafting. We conceive this part of Inklings to be something like an "open mic" coffee house where the focus is on enjoying the creative efforts of each other rather than on critique.

The next Inklings II night is scheduled for September 30, 2000 at the church building. The festivities will begin at 7:00 p.m.
